Had a very friendly staff member. The man with long curly hair (forgot to ask his name) was a great help and spoke/understood English very well. The location lost a star as we were next to an active construction site. The service loses a star because the woman waved off a request on our final morning. Which was rather rude. And 2 stars were lost for the room because 1: The TV didn't work, 2: It didn't have coffee/tea or an iron. Also, the food was okay but the bacon (ham) was greasy. Finally, the room was cosy and the bed was comfy with fresh bed sheets, also the shower was really good had a high pressure whilst being supplied with a lovely scented soap.
The receptionist who checked us in was pleasant and spoke very good English. On the other hand, when checking out, there was another receptionist, who was difficult for me to understand.
He made a mistake and wanted to charge us 600+ euros after we had already paid in advance... After we showed him the voucher, he checked again and apologized for the mistake. It was a slightly unpleasant experience, luckily we were not pressed for time and we didn't have to rush.
In addition, one of the blankets in the room had brown stains. I asked the receptionist to change the blanket, he said that it would be changed the next morning and apologized. I thought they did change it, but after two days I noticed the same stains on the blanket, they didn't change it, they just put it back in the closet. I didn't complain again because I saw no point in wasting time on it.
Beyond that, the room was clean, the wifi is good and the breakfast is varied and satisfying.
The elevator is small and a little slow, so sometimes there was a long line for it. We were on the third floor so we had no problem going up the stairs, but if you have difficulty going up the stairs take this into account.
Rooms were ok, though they could be cleaner.
Breakfast was good and with plenty of food and drinks to choose from.
There is a luggage room if you need on the check out day.
The hotel is close (10 min walk) to Termini station.
Old hotel with not nice staffs especially the night guard.
At 5 am, my boyfriend and I went to Trevi Fountain, but the hotel’s main entrance was tightly shut. As we tried to open it, a BLACK tall guard approached us rudely. Instead of simply opening the door, he repeatedly asked, ‘Can’t you see the door is closed?’ in a disrespectful manner, accompanied by an offensive gesture.
I rarely write reviews but was so appalled by the poor service at this awful little hotel that was booked for me as part of a group trip that I want to warn others. I was unable to stay there because the room they gave me had a very strong unpleasant smell like a spoiled mildewed rag was used to “clean“ it and the staff were not able to address the problem and refused to put me in a room without this stench, despite admitting that it was low season and they had many unbooked available rooms.
I had to move to a hotel around the corner which was extremely pleasant with a very kind and accommodating staff.
In addition to the unpleasant odor, the room was dingy and dirty with stains on the light coverings, floor, bathroom and oily coating on surfaces.
By far the rudest, most inhospitable staff I’ve ever encountered. I travel a great deal and this hotel was the worst experience I’ve had.
Loved it very much! Special things for me:
Jacuzzi in our bathroom was perfect after long walks,
breakfast was very good, specifically coffee and prosciutto,
we had a room with an inner balcony, no view, but still it was very nice,
beautiful lobby and waiting room for the aesthetics suckers.
broken window, clogged shower basin, broken shower door slider, broken heater, filthy rooms, useless service staff.
if you get a room around the 4th floor, get your refund immediately.
Not a bad 3 star hotel and worth its price. Hotel rooms were clean, staff was cooperative and lift worked during our stay! (Seemed to be a popular complain). Breakfast was 10euros and worth the price. Only downside was that you could hear next door guests using the bathroom.
